Skin Boosters create multiple skin benefits including intense hydration, collagen and elastin stimulation and improvements to skin texture, tone and wrinkles.

Skin Boosters are developed from hyaluronic acid but don’t add volume to the skin, instead the hyaluronic acid technology adds hydration, firmness and essential support to the delicate skin layers. Skin Booster may also be combined with glycerol to deliver even more intense hydration, essential skin nutrients and vitamins or even wrinkle reduction treatments to rejuvenate the skin and create an added luminous and radiant appearance.

Skin Boosters are ideal for treating dehydrated and dull skin that has lost its suppleness due to age, sun, stress and other environmental factors. We use Dermashine Balance Pro to deliver the Skin Booster directly to the skin. This Korean device is able to deliver micro-droplets of the Skin Booster to the skin restore a dewy glow and deep hydration. The use of Dermashine Balance Pro also minimises downtime and ensures a quick recovery. The result is immediate skin glow and hydration, with continued improvements in skin roughness, elasticity, texture and radiance.

Dr Lowe has also been involved in international research combining Skin Boosters with wrinkle treatments which can provide additional improvements to the appearance of pores, reduce skin oiliness and reduce redness and flushing associated with rosacea.

Skin Boosters MUSE Clinic

What to Expect

You can expect a through consultation and evalution. Once we have determined your suitablility for Skin Booster, your skin will be cleaned and prepared for treatment.

Dermashine Balance Pro technology accurately delivers microdroplets of Skin Booster to the skin. The average Skin Booster treatment takes 30-45 minutes to complete and for best results, patients will require three treatments at 3-4 week intervals to achieve the optimal result. A top-up treatment every 6 months is typically suggested.

Bio-Remodelling injections involve only a few injections of the product in a distinct pattern across the area of concern. As the product is so soft and flexible, it blends and spreads through the top layers of the skin over the following hours. This means there might be a few temporary bumps in the skin which settle quickly. Numbing cream can be applied, but often is not even required. A second treatment is required 4 weeks later, then maintenance treatments every 6 months or so.

We will assist you with a tailored home skin care treatment plan that will meet your skin needs.

What Do Skin Boosters Treat?

The face, neck, decolletage and hands are the areas that are usually treated with Skin Booster since these are the areas that tend to show the first signs of ageing. However, any area of the body showing a reduction in hydration, elasticity and firmness can be treated including the abdomen, arms and thighs.

Along with hydrating the skin, these treatments can also address the following concerns:

  • Loss of Elasticity: As we age, it’s only natural for the skin to become less elastic but Skin Boosters can be used to increase skin firmness and elasticity to tighten and improve skin
  • Dull Skin: A healthy glow is a sign of youthfulness that Skin Booster can help restore
  • Lines, Wrinkles, Scars & Stretch Marks: Decreased levels of collagen weaken the underlying structures of the skin, but Skin Booster treatments stimulate healthy collagen and elastin production, which helps reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and strengthen areas of skin weakness
  • Pigmentation: Address pigment irregularities in order to achieve a more even skin tone
  • Enlarged pores and skin oiliness: The addition of wrinkle reduction treatment to Skin Boosters have been shown to reduce skin oiliness and the appearance of pores
  • Redness and flushing: New research supports the combination of wrinkle reduction treatment with Skin Boosters to reduce rosacea, redness and flushing

Ideal Candidates for Skin Booster Skin Treatments

Men and women who want to rejuvenate their skin and reverse the effects of ageing and other environmental and lifestyle factors are ideal candidates for these skin treatments. However, your medical history, as well as any current conditions, will need to be taken into account before treatments can commence.

Skin Booster Results

The results of your Skin Booster treatments start almost immediately. However, a least three Skin Booster treatments are recommended spaced every 3-4 weeks, to experience the full potential of this technology. Results will last around 6 – 9 months, after which additional treatments are suggested.

Patients can expect to see a progressive improvement in skin texture, firmness, elasticity and radiance that highlights the natural beauty of their skin.

The outcomes shown are only relevant for that patient and do not necessarily reflect the results other patients may experience. Results may vary due to many factors, including the individual's genetics, diet, and exercise.
